Your input will be vital in exploring new funding opportunities to broaden our number of donors and to replace key sources such as the European Development Fund.

A sub-tropical island of spectacular and beautiful landscapes in the South Atlantic with a warm and friendly population of 4,500, St Helena is a self-governing overseas territory of the UK. It’s now poised for transformation with the recent opening of a brand new international airport offering scheduled commercial air access. Reliance on a small pool of donors presents challenge in securing continued investment and support.

You will identify and secure additional sources of external funding and establish appropriate lines of communication with donor agencies. You must track, assimilate and disseminate external intelligence on funding opportunities from existing and new funding streams, setting up and managing external intelligence gathering systems. You will also help in managing relationships with donor agencies and key stakeholders, taking the lead on the preparation of donor-specific application and business cases and supporting these vital presentations.

Educated to degree level or equivalent and having a substantial background in a similar role, you will have experience in Public Sector or Non Government bodies. You must be able to demonstrate where and how you were able to secure external funding in previous roles. A team player willing to ‘roll your sleeves up’ and get involved in detail, you have strong analytical skills and are able to apply objective judgement. Politically astute and adept with culturally diverse organisations, you have experience in the development sector at national or international level and of the international institutional funding landscape.

We also offer 30 days leave pa. An application form can be found when you click apply.. This is where applications must be sent and received by 19 January 2018. Interviews will be held in London.
