Development Coordinator (Partnerships)
North London Cares and South London Cares

Job Description

The Cares Family (North London Cares and South London Cares) are seeking an ambitious, hard-working, collaborative fundraiser to join our Development team in this brand new post as Development Coordinator (Partnerships).

Working as part of our Development team, this new role will help us to expand our partnerships with corporate and other organisations and to grow our unrestricted funding base so that we can meet our core objectives.

This is a key moment in The Cares Family's development and an exciting time to join our team. In the past three years we have expanded the proportion of our overall income raised from community fundraising from 0% to 45%. That growth in voluntary donations has been achieved thanks to the energy and commitment of our supporters who are passionate about tackling isolation and loneliness in London and across the UK.

Now, as we plan for the future, we are keen to diversify fundraising even more to take advantage of the growing awareness of loneliness as a major challenge of our time, and to meet the fullest potential of our model – by expanding corporate and other partnerships and deepening relationships with supporters to raise an extra £50,000 combined across North London Cares and South London Cares in 2018/19 and at least £100,000 in 2019/20.

The creation of this Development Coordinator (Partnerships) role will help us to achieve that. In your new role, you will be responsible for managing existing corporate and other partnerships at both North London Cares and South London Cares and for researching and building new strategic relationships to help us further grow our revenue and deepen our impact.

You will work with our experienced Development Coordinators across both charities, supported by The Cares Family’s Director of Development and Chief Executive, to cultivate and broaden partnerships with businesses and other supporters.

Day-to-day, you will be the key point of contact for corporate partners. You will provide regular updates, galvanise businesses and their employees to support the charities, and communicate the stories that demonstrate the value of their contributions. You will present to businesses big and small on how they can support our work, meet with senior business associates, host in-office ‘lunch and learns’ to inspire people to get involved and then support individual journeys, and share those stories with the press and wider community through social media. You will also work closely with our programmatic teams to help deliver those new partnerships.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
